Course Registration Periods

What are they?

Course registration periods are a set time frame we give you (between 1 and 3 years) in which a learner must complete their course, e.g. those who choose a 1-year registration period, must complete their course within 1 year.

Why must learners select a registration period?

Pearson (the awarding body) charges a yearly registration fee for all learners, which covers learner registration, external verification, external assessment, onscreen testing and certification.

As a result of this, we offer different payment plans based on the number of years in which a learner expects to complete their course, which increases in cost with each additional year to cover Pearson's yearly registration fee. The additional course cost also covers extended yearly access to our online learning platform, tutor support and services.

All of our students must select a preferred course registration period when they apply to ensure that all fees are covered for the duration of their course.

NOTE: The registration period is the maximum time a learner has to complete their course, not the minimum. This means they can still aim to complete their course in less time.

Which registration period is best for me?

Please refer to the course registration periods section of our HNC/D Business course pack for guidance.
